The same size as in a Jigmaster and Penn 309 -- the Penn part number is 006-309.

I will be picking up a Newell P332 today to fish 30lb on and based on the numerous recommendations in this thread want to put the HT100 drag washers in it.
The question I have is what is the recommended grease to put on the washers and how much do you put on? I assume it is a real thin layer or do you goop it on? Any other tips as far as reassembling the reel, like where to avoid getting the drag washer grease, etc., would be greatly appreciated. Also, should I oil the bearings in a new reel out of the box or leave them as is.
Thanks guys...

Use either Cal's drag grease or Shimano drag grease. I rub excess grease into the fibers of the HT-100 washers until they are saturated, then wipe off most of the excess with a fingertip, leaving a thin film of grease completely covering the washers. Some people wipe off as much as they can, but I have had better results leaving a slight excess on.
Also, once the washers are installed, don't fully loosen the drag when the reel is not in use. Just rinse the reel off with fresh water after fishing, let dry, and re-adjust the drag as needed next time you fish. This will keep the grease from being exposed to air, salt, and water, which will eventually cause the drag to become uneven. I usually can go a year in between drag services using this method with no problems.
I have used the Shimano grease in the past, but will switch to the Cal's grease, as it is designed to be used in other areas of the reel that require grease. The only place where either grease will actually cause a problem is if it gets in the bearings, slowing down freespool. I use a light machine oil in bearings, putting a drop or two in every few trips. Not a bad idea to put a couple drops in a new reel.
