Yep, just not in the same sentence as Pro Gear.

Re: Newell p series, or torium

newell, it's lighter... easier on the body for all day casting. If you want to go cheap, use dacron line instead of spectra... you'll never get down that far anyways unless you are planning to do a 5-day or more.

533 40lb big game, a little backing. 338 30lb for lighter C's and shit.. If it's not singing it's not broken in. I hate it when I over cast and have to wind one "all that way" in!

P series Newell. 332 for #30, hold plenty of line with or without Spectra. 533 for #40-50 with more than enough drag for anything you want to hang on the iron.

Your right this is the wrong thread for a bold statement. Which thread would you like me to post?

Since many people have written some good stuff about reels, spectra, line, for a 100J. I would suggest that you go to this casting contest, which everyone will have all this crap there, and cast. And this goon will be glad to show his stuff. Actual fish would help the this contest, but beer will do.

I'm your huckleberry. Bring it brotha!! I wouldn't exactly call it a bold statement though. More of a moronic declaration....
