Newell S229 schematic

I took the damn thing apart to change out a bearing, done it several times before on other Newells without problem too. Now I can't figure out how the damn dog spring is supposed to go back on. I can't figure out where the tag end (for lack of a better term) of the spring is supposed to be anchored. It looks like there is a groove for it in the right sideplate, but then how the hell do you put the assembled bridge back into the sideplate and magically have the spring slide into place? I need a schematic and can't find one online. Little help here?

Thanks Swazi. If I can see straight, the tag end of the dog spring just hangs off the side, and clips onto the outside of the main stainless plate. This is just above, and a bit left of, the screw hole in the bottom left of the picture. Sound right? I don't have the reel in front of me right now. I'll have to try that tonight.
