Pro Gear CS625 Bearing Removal Help

How do I get this inner bearing off the spool?????

The large bearing was corroded so I am replacing it. I was only able to clean off the corrosion, but not remove the bearing due to the small "T" pin (I don't know what that little pin is called???) not coming out of the main spool shaft

It seems to be rusted or corroded in place (or maybe its permanant and it comes off some other way) and I can't break it free for the life of me!! Degreaser and gun cleaner, and Break Free are not working . Just the oil and grease has greatly decreased the noise but I really want to replace this bearing.

Aside from this one bearing, it seems that I have a pretty stout reel and considering the distance I was getting with a totally screwed up bearing, it should be a beast when I finally get it fixed!!

Any advice in removing that stubborn pin would be greatly appreciated.

Dude, glad you beat me on that reel. You have to use a drill press to remove that pin. Just use a bit that's slightly smaller than the pin and press down, without the power on of course. It doesn't take a lot of force. Put it back is the same. I've done the same on a few toriums.

I use a drift & ball peen hammer, make sure you brace the shaft. Light taps take your time.

FINALLY got it out and the bearing off... What a beating! The new bearing should be on it's way from Ken's and this reel had better cast like a dream when I'm done.

PG540? Mine casts a mile on a BTG90J. I have to adjust/tighten the left sideplate bearing cap to keep it from backlashing.
