accurate "99"

my buddy here needs some cash(dont we all!)and needs to sell this reel but doesnt know what to ask...can I get a ballpark figure? he said it is a 505 with accurate frame,plates and knob...like new...thanks....

seen them go for as much as $200. seen them go as low as $100. this one looks to be in very nice condition. someone will "NEED" to have this one, good luck!

I have almost the exact same one and I bought mine for about $160 7 years ago.

Unfortunately they aren't worth quite that much anymore as you can get the saltist, torium, etc. for about the same price and they will outperform the 99.

The 99's and other upgraded penns filled a niche back in the day when there was little choice for a good strong midpriced reel. You were pretty much limited to a stock penn senator or jigmaster as the basic or a trini or accurate as the high end.

If he has upgraded the drag then you will still have a bulletproof little reel that will kill any local fish.

$100-125 is a good deal
