Penn clicker

Over the years I've had 8-10 113H reels where the clicker "gear" has come untacked from the spool shaft, rendering them clickerless. It just happened on a six month old Baja Special, damn. I believe that stock it is tack welded to the shaft. Anyone have a repair for this that doesn't demand purchase of a new spool?
Thanks,
David Jones
