Daiwa Saltist 30th or cs625 for surface iron?

I was wondering if anyone is using any of these reels for tossing the surface iron. If so what # spectra backing and how many yards? I am currently using a 9' jigstick with a Daiwa Sealine xsha40 reel. I can cast that thing a mile but hate the fact that it is so wide. I have a saltist 30th and progear cs625 that I can throw on there. I was thinking maybe I switch to one of those reels as they are narrower. Any suggestion?

the saltist is a great reel for the iron, it's the clamp that is a pos! i do like my pro gears also, either reel is fine w/ #65 spectra and 100 yard topshot. good luck....
