Arizona hook up on Sushi

This is for those AZ guys on this site. I eat sushi 3-4 times a week...I'm well traveled and have had sushi in 20 different states at countless places but hands down the best place on the west coast for sushi is Sakana's.

Sakana's is the bomb! There is three in the Valley but the best on is over by my house. 59th ave 1 block north of the 101 loop...

There is also one by my office in Chandler. Elliot and I10 just west of the freeway. This where the picture is from my lunch on Friday.

There is another on Indian Bend and Hayden (Matt Leinart is in there about everyday...if you are a fan)

The lunch special:

Sashimi Delux, soup, salad, drink and rainbow roll for $20...(11.99 less roll)

White Toro, Salmon, albi, ahi!

This same meal is $40 at dinner.

Enjoy!

I have to disagree, I grew up going to the Sakana's on Elliot and I-10 and have eaten sushi all over the country. Since moving to Gilbert, hands down best sushi in AZ has to be Temari's on Val Vista and Guadalupe. Check it out if you get a chance. The owner Saki is the Sushi chef and is one of the best in the biz in my opionion.

Will do! The one on 59th is much better than the one off I10... I'll try your place Thursday. Thanks again!

Tamari's is really good but i will say i have never been to a more dirty place for sushi. It never fails that i sit down at the bar and i will ALWAYS see a cochroach. on the other hand sakana has a great lunch special.

Dude, I'm not sure what you are talking about. I'm never seen anything like that at Tamari's. I've been eating at that place for about 8 years now at least a couple times a week and everything has always been clean.

The stuff that makes you squirt if you eat too much. I've eaten at quite a few spots in az, and I always go back to Ah-So.

I believe the white tuna is escolar which will make oil leak from your ass but it is the one of the best tasting. The one on indian bend and hayden is good but there is Hiro Sushi on Via Linda and 90th street that place is amazing!. Also Sushi Brokers is great on FLW and Scottsdale. Sushi Brokers has Wahoo sashimi and yellowtail collar on the cheap but its not on the menu you have to ask for it.
