Grilling them is best, they get kinda kelpy/muddy tasting if you fry or bake them. Not the best tablefare in our water.

Personal best has to be up in 6-7# range. It was a toad, caught it with a couple of 3 lbers the same day.

Fry them in a pan with bacon, garlic and butter. When the fish is cooked throw out the fish and eat the pan.

I tried it once and will never do it again.

I'm half asian and will eat anything and I don't like opaleye.
