breast out the quail,wrap in bacon to keep moist,throw on bbq with a steak,consume with ice cold coors light....

Use to cook the Bobwhite Quail this way in Kansas years ago. The only way to do it. I can still taste it as I type.

We love to take Bluebill/Ruddy/Scoter breasts and pressure cook them with Onions , Garlic , and Saurcraut on top of them . The meat falls off the bone .

Yep,
Good memories there. Would do grouse and woodcock pretty much the same.

I'd stuff ducks with apples oranges and celery and lay orange slices over the top then into the Weber over indirect heat

Actually, i do them all differently....

Pheasant or partridge (grouse)........ Lightly flour, salt & pepper, and pan fry.

Duck..... Marinated on the grill, or roasted with garlic, salt & pepper (really good for teal)

Dove....... Wrapped in bacon, or BBQ sauce, on the grill
