Pumpkin Walnut Bread Recipe

I've had several requests for this recipe after bringing it to the Noah's events. This is best if it's made with fresh cooked pumpkin. Here's for you Jr. Get your kids to help make this! They will love it!

Pumpkin Walnut Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Grease bread loaf baking pans

Mix all of the following ingredients together with a mixer and pour into bread pans filling each half full. Bake on the middle rack of the oven until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Baking time depends on the size of your loaf pan. You can put into cupcake tins too for muffins.

3 ½ cups flour
2 teaspoon baking soda
1 ½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
3 cups sugar
1 cup of oil (vegetable or canola oil)
4 eggs
2/3 cup of water
2 cups of pumpkin
1 cup chopped walnuts

Makes 4 (8x4”) loaf pans filling each half full

My two boys would be throwing stuff all over the kitchen, and something would catch on fire for sure...but the recipe looks tasty. Walnuts go great with almost anything.
Thanx.

Thanks Maggie. I copied and pasted this one too. Looks like I'll be baking this weekend! We'll let you know how they turn out.

That's the best part of cooking together in the kitchen! It should be fun! Just have an extinguisher ready and you'll be fine. I like to put more walnuts in than the recipe calls for. Yum!
