Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society

The San Diego Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society (FOCAS) will be meeting the Third Thursday of each month at the Bostonia Community Center at 7:00 pm.

The Bostonia Community Center is located at 1410 Bostonia in El Cajon. The nearest cross streets are Bostonia and Broadway. Call Bill Brown Jr.@ (619) 402-0469 or Capt. James Nelson @ (619) 395-0799 for more information.

"FOCAS was founded in 1983 by a handful of Christian fishermen who desired to worship and serve as disciples of Christ. Among this group was Jimmy Houston, Chris Houston, Hank Parker, Homer Circle, Al Linder, Ray Scott and Others. They wanted the ministry to serve as a bond between all fishermen. A ministry that would use the sport of fishing as a tool to make sportfishermen into "...fishers of men." (Matthew 4:19)"

During the meetings we discuss various outreach programs, fishing techniques and tackle, and share the Word of God. This Thursday we will be discussing Mark 6 - 11.

Food and drink is provided. Anyone and everyone is welcome, whether beginner or expert angler, saltwater or freshwater.

We hope you will all come on down, share your experiences or just listen and enjoy. Membership in FOCAS is not required.

God Bless.

Since we're on the subject here, I have a question that I've been wanting to ask. Is the Bright and Morning Star a christian related boat?
