Worked the Fred Hall Show in Long Beach with the rest of the Bloodydecks management and staff...

You could really tell that the economy is having an effect on peoples budgets and the industry as a whole. There were a few deals to be found but one had to llok pretty hard to find them. For me the highlights of the show were the Phenix Rods and of course the Bloodydecks 'experience'. Putting faces to names and getting to see old friends is always great. I should mention that a number of people gave their support to Bloodydecks in many different ways; food, help in the booth, you name it.

The Defiance boats are really nice and if I were in the market that is where I might look for a new boat. I'm also going to look into the Blackwater flourocarbon as their rep that I talked to convinced me to give it a go. Looks like Seaguar has their own wind on's perfected as well. Would be nice if they made them in shorter lengths for PV type fishing.

For those of you that didn't go to the show, Fish Dope from BD is going to be the shit. I'll admit that I was sceptical but after looking at it and messing with it for a few days, I'm convinced that it's potentially the future of on-line fishing resources. Once it's up and running I think it will do well.

If you ever get up north, the Hat is the shit for pastrami sandwiches.

Hey I see a pic of my new boat! My mom and I went in together and bought our first boat after months of researcha nd seeing them last year at Fred Hall we couldn't wait any longer. We purchased the Defiance 220 EX w/ the Garmin Electronic Pack and some custom additions including flared bow rails for more room, and a custom built freshwater sink instead of one of the outside fish boxes, its going to be awesome. Didn't want to lose the inside seating for four with the galley pack. Should be doing our sea trial in about 3 weeks. They have to add some stuff that we customized. I am bouncing off the walls. Want to get it in the water. Not bad for two women huh? NOw we need a name. Any ideas?

Buddy, you ain't kiddin' about those Phenix rods! The new owner has some serious new sticks hitting the market.

Glad you liked the sammiches, they can become habit-forming.
