Considering how many people that I personally know who overfish the hell out of lobster (and illegally sell them to friends and neighbors) I have no problem with a lobster punch card.

Won't be talking about "self-imposed" albacore and Blue Fin Tuna limits either. http://www.fgc.ca.gov/2007/proposedregs07.htm#1_17 |

They're not required till Oct 2008 so most places will not have them till probably Summer.

As far as I understand it, it is now law-Cards will be needed for 2008 Season in October. I'm not that concerned about the regulation, but it is just another bueracracy imposed on sport fisherman. How about comm. lobster guys?
I guess I'm just ranting and raving, I still think it will be worth every penny to grab lobster, but dont know how this will help the fishery.

That being said, there are people out there pulling limits every frickin night with3-4 people on board and hammering the bugs. When they go back and get several report cards a year, well you do the math.BIG red flag for the DFG. Play by the rules and take what YOU need, it will benifit the future. JMO
