Re: Shimano Evair

I tried them on once... Comfy, super light, good grip but they just seem like they'll rip somewhere somehow down the road. Also pricey for being foam

Re: Shimano Evair

Been wearing a a pair for just over a year now and they rock. I fish or hoop at least once a week and they still look like new.

I was worried about then being to light and not holding up but that is not the case. Went offshore Fri night and my feet were warm (nothing else was though) Ali had thick rubber boots and had to double up his socks to keep his feet warm (wouldn't snuggle). He also said Turners had them on sale right now.

I would buy then slightly big as they seemed to get a little less flexible as the got older and if they fit tight at first they may seen to shrink less the 1/2 a size as thye got stiffer.

I only wear one pair of regular athletic socks in these. No need for a cushion sole.

Re: Shimano Evair

I just got a pair from turners for half off.

They seem like they'll be much easier on the dogs after a long night of hooping...

There is a certain "elf" factor to them.

Best boots I,ve ever worn, fish all day and hoop half the night and the dogs stay warm and dry. Very light and good traction. but yea I guess I can see Elf like features.

Ditto on that...No complaints at all. Very happy with them. We'll see how they are over the long term but I've had mine for over a year and no problems to mention.

They are worth it.... especially if you can get em on sale......

Re: Shimano Evair

Was on the BG90 on a 2.5 dayer, and went out on deck to fire up a cigar.

There was a group of guys out there talking about how their buddy had bought a pair of Evairs. Seems the pair he bought had either fit bad or leaked or some kinda defect, something he wasn't happy with, and the replacements were not much better.
So I see this guy come out of the galley wearing a pair. So I say to him, "how do you like those Shimanos Evairs?"
He looks at me, looks over at his homies, and proceeds to pull them off and toss e'm over the side of the boat.
The deckies and I just stood there, stunned to see this guy shitcan what ? $60-80 worth of boots no questions asked.
Funniest shit, And that boat is always good for a laugh, even if its something i'm doin.
