Pacific Coast Bait & Tackle in Oceanside (on the 101) has a healthy Daiwa selection. I bought a new bass stick with a Sealine reel there recently.

My current surf fishing rod is from Big 5 (used today). 9' Izors's "Traveler". I bought 4 or 5 several years ago 25$ a piece. Worked great. As I break'em doing what ever I get another. These longer rods are yes only 59$ but will serve me well. See surf fishing posts. I will be buying two.
