My wife said she wants to learn how to fish. I would love to get her out there so she can experience the ocean. The problem is she gets major sick. Dramamine makes her tired. Is there anything else out there that will help. Thanks, Jim

there is like this small patch that you wear beind your ear that looks like a band-aid. I'm ferogt what it is called but it starts with an s. I know that really doesn't help, but I'm sure other BD'ers know what it is called.

The wristbands work on pressure points like those behind the ear. I think it takes some experimenting. Also soda crackers and gingerale. Gingerale is a calmative to the stomach. West Marine has the seasick bands.

The "S" medicine is called Scopalomine. It is the real deal. I had a friend that would get sick the minute he got into the ocean and he was instantly cured. You have to request it from the doctor since it must be prescribed. Definitely worth checking out!

Also she could look into the prescription patches...

Patches could make you kind of OD on the "S" The plain tablets work well with me.

The small patch you wear behind you ear is called "Transiderm Scope" or something like that. The stuff works!
My wife gets sick on car rides. She gets bad motion sickness.
I wanted to take her fishing in Costa Rica, so I got her this patch. Worked like a champ! She was drinking beers, pulling on fish, having a blast. Now she'll go fishing with me on our vacations.
It's only available by prescription from your doctor.
Get it.

Bonine, the wrist bands , ginger (pills or ale). Work great on me. The patch.. oh my, I was on a boat last Sept. and we were getting rocked. Couldnt even sleep we were getting tossed. One dude was puking his guts out and looked near lifeless. One other dude gave him one of his patches (were in Mexico.. so I think its ok) and within an hour he is drinking beers and landing albies... no problem |

You can get the patches online, Canada Pharmacy. I have boxes of other shit for my wife and none of them worked for her, not even the bands. Patches all the way. Transderm Scopaline, or Scopaline V.

Same stuff as from your doc., they worked well on me and she won't pass out from them.
Next best thing is "Bonine" availible and most drug store about $9.00
