I went to mission viejo lake today and it was awesome! The trout are HUGE this year. I got 5 of them. I wish that i had my camera to take pics. They got them from nebraska this year and they are beautiful. I recommend making a trip out there.
Actually there is no limit there since there is no catch and release allowed and they were averaging about 3 lbs
Actually, there is a 4 trout per angler (per stringer) limit and the fine is $25 per fish over the limit. Check the CC&Rs. But you probably already knew that.

Like I said! Been fishing that lake for 20 years and have been "talked to" more times than I can count by the lifeguards.
Curtis and I pulled a 28# 8 fish stringer out of there a couple of years back, (2 over 5# and one over 6#), mixed in with a couple of dinks, and a couple over 3. All depends on what they stock any particular week. That and a little luck. Very nice lake to fish...lots of big LMB in there as well for after you limit on the trout.
