| My best Fathers day!
Have not had a real "fathers Day" in years, as most of you may know, Jonathan has been in some trouble.
This year, things have finally turned around.
I went down and met the Vagabond, he is a deckie on the boat, and just returned from his first paying trip. He did alot of work on the boat while off-season, and rode with them for a couple of trips, but since he had not passed his coast guard safety certification, he could not get paid.
Well, this morning Val and I met the boat, just to kind of say, hey, kid; we do really care about ya!
he surprised me by asking if he could come by this evening and cook me dinner....
DO DO no less......
WOW, what a great surprise to see him pull up with a couple of 20# dorado......
He filleted them in my front yard, and grilled the fillets to perfection. Add some fresh corn on the cob and some great salad, I was in heaven.
Getting emotional, now....we're still thanking the lord for finally waking him up.
If youre reading this Jonathan, we love you and are so proud......
FRESH DODO for Father's Day.....how cool is that?

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
