My grandfather was an "Isei" (first generation japanese) and would rather eat bonito SASHIMI more than albacore sashimi. Go figure?!?!?

Go figure?!?!? | Dude, I am right there with him on that. In fact, Thursday I fished the afternoon trip on the DD and got one Bonito, bled it and dropped it in the bait tank. The other deckhand and I went to our favorite sushi joint in La Jolla after work and that bone came with us. Gave it to my buddy behind the bar and we had two of the loins as sashimi and the chefs ate the rest. Buttery smooth and mighty tasty!!

Bonito and skipjack are some of the best sushi fish, The problem lies with people not taking proper care of it when caught.
