can this reel handle albacore?

i have a diawa sealine 40 with 25lb on it im going fishing tonight on a 1.5 outa oside...will this have the power needed? need advice asap

ALSO a penn 545 with 20 lb??

i really wanna make sure im not gonna lost my first albacore or watever else we hook into!

absolutely, bring some 20# fluorocarbon just in case it is a finicky bite. Good Luck.

I'd fish 30 on the sealine with 30# fluoro leader. 20# on the 545 with 20# fluoro leader.

you can catch albies all day on 15#

thanks so much for the advice this is my first overnighter and fishing for big fish like this so im freakin out that i have wat i need

i have a penn squider with 30 lb also so it looks good..thanks again for the help

thats alot of line on that sealine 40 but it will work fine. Good luck

Todd called it. I've caught plenty of albies with my sealine 40 with both 25# and 30#. Make sure you have the fluorocarbon leader. Good luck.

I have a sealine 30. And it has seen many albacore. Great reels... very smooth.
