Off shore Squid use.

Years ago on a slow Albie trip, a guy had some fresh strips of the Big squid, he brought himself.

15" long 3/4" inch wide mantle pieces.

We all soaked baits (dines) up swell after a meter mark.

This guy hooks and lands the only 3 fish (Albies) on the drift.

I was thinking what an idiot he is fishing dead strips.

I think they looked like eels or lancet fish to the Albies.

Any how for what its worth, long strips of fresh dead big squid off shore out fish live dines.

Maybe worth trying. Anyone else ever hear about this method?

They work on Threshers too, Every preditor in the ocean eats squid. I've seen "Chunking" work lots of times when live bait wasnt working, Squid should work as good, Or maybe better than any other chunk bait.
