Good news! I'm watching the news... 2 commercial fishermen (they didn't show 'em or name 'em) were busted by the DFG for illegal lobster poaching. They had 500# when they came into Santa Monica Bay this morning. They got most of their lobsters off Venice Beach. GOOD WORK, DFG!!!  |

A good friend of mine is a volunteer for the DFG. He has been talking about this guy for weeks. They (DFG) have known about him for quite a while but he was pretty sharp in avoiding being caught. We had a mini celebration about his capture yesterday morning. Cheers for the DFG (and I usually don't have much in the line of credos for them). Cya, Bruce

They were caught in Long Beach.My buddy was on the boat as a deckhand,he went to jail as well!He was just a deck on the boat and didn't know anything about the restricted area the guy was fishing!
Hopefully he'll get cut loose and his boss will take the rap!!!!!
