| Hoopnet materials?
I need to make some new hoopnets and it seems my rebar supplier has moved (JL Davison) - they were in Lakeside but I couldn't find a phone number...I dunno! Anyway, does anybody know where I can get 36" and 18" rebar circles in 1/2" diameter material?

Me and a friend made some from rebar a long time ago. We just bought the straight stuff and had it rolled, then welded the ends.
By the way, where do you get the netting for your hoops? I have a couple that need new netting.

I found a place on Mission Gorge road - 5915 Steel Inc. that will have them done tomorrow.
The netting, rope & floats can be had at Harbor Marine Supply downtown on India St.
Homemade hoops are MUCH better than what you can buy IMO. I've been making my own for 25 years.

THEY ARE MADE SO THE LOBSTERS CAN CRAW OVER THE TOP AND GET DOWN TO THE BAIT, BUT THEY CAN'T GET OUT SO IF WE SCREW UP AND DON'T PULL FAST ENOUGH, YOU STILL GET TO CATCH ALL OF THE BUG'S THAT ARE IN IT, AND THAT MEANS MORE PRODUCTION AND MORE KEEPER BUG'S, GO DOWN AND CHECK OUT HOW THEY ARE SET UP , YOU CAN MAKE THEM BY WELDING THE REBAR TOGETHER, I KNOW MAKEING YOUR OWN IS A GREAT ACOMPLISHMENT, IT DOSN'T HURT TO CHECK THING'S OUT, LET ME KNOW WERE YOU GET YOUR NETTING, ALSO NOHAS HAS A ROP KIT FOR $20.00 THAT HAS THE ROP, BOUY, BAIT CAGE, AND ALSO A 4 WAY ROPE WITH CLIPS AND A RING FOR THE TOP OF THE HOOP, $6.00.
