Vessel assist policy......

Anybody know the answer to this

I am trying to renew a vessel assist policy by phone right now for a trip tomorrow, but the problem is that the office is now closed...... being that my buddy has a current VA card, wont his card cover us in case of a problem?? As I understand it it will.

Any feedback appreciated!!!

If it's the Captain/gold card........I believe your covered. If it's the standard card.........I don't think so.

Re: Vessel assist policy......

The service agreement on the Boat US site states (for any policy)

Towing Service applies to you and any recreational boat owned, borrowed or chartered by you and dispatch is available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Service provides for the commercial towing of your disabled boat from the point of breakdown at sea to your port of choice; at sea battery jumpstarts, delivery of fuel, engine fluids and basic engine parts necessary to avoid a tow, subject to availability; ungrounding assistance for a soft grounding; and towing of your disabled boat from a restricted use dock to your port of choice for the purpose of making repairs

Of course if it is Boat US you can renew on-line.....
