Dana point harbor

Im walking around dana point harbor later tonight what should I use for bait and where should I go...Im looking to be fishing plastics.

there is a dock near the marine institute. try there or the jetty near doheney.

Fish off the rocks around the yacht club, especially on the north east corner where the current pushes around the rock and into the channel. There are usually spotties in there. Small grubs!

jetty near doheney that has the road on it. high tide where the road ends 3 inch plastic with brown and orange, i got like 5 halis (10-20 inches) and little sharks and stuff. go farther down the beach toward doheney camp ground (the walks worth it) and fish cut mackerrel about halfway through the camp ground down on the beach. it was wide open on guitarfish and somehow me managed a for corvina too. i camped here like 5 times so these have always worked for me.
