Canning service

The wife loves my home canned albacore but I haven't been able to catch albacore this season (except for 1 albie). If you want your albies home canned I can help you out. Bring the fish to my house and I will have them canned for you by the next weekend. All I ask is you pay for the jars and ingredients that are used to can your fish and I get 5 jars or 10%, whichever is higher, for cleaned fish. For fish that need to be filleted it will vary depending on how many fish I need to clean. You can bring the fish cleaned or not. Just drop them off and I can either drop them off or you can pick them up when they're done. I can can them a few different ways. If you have never had home canned albies you are really missing out. I am not selling the extra cans and this is being done to help you out and satisfy my wifes craving for canned chickens. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Canning works fine if they are already frozen. I have to check on the prices of the jars but I think it would be anywhere from $1-3 per jar though I need to go to the store to check on the price. A lot of it will depend on the size of the loin and how much fish you have. I usually pack them in pint jars but can make smaller and larger batches depending on how much you want in each jar. They will keep in the jars for years this way.

My standard recipe is to add a tbsp of salsa to the jar as well as some of the mexican pickled jalapenos and carrots to give it a little heat.

I have about 10#-15# of Albie that I caught on 6/24, vaccum sealed that day, that I wouldn't mind trying something different with. I could drop it by tonight if you like..... lemme know ASAP cause I'm getting ready to take the kids out for some grub.
