There are basically three kinds of knife jigs and three presentation types.
Long skinny jigs - vertical presentation.
Fat heavy jigs - vertical or horizontal presentation.
Smaller jigs (like a mega bait) - vertical or horizontal presentation.
I like the surface action of the lighter jigs and the colors are great so even a Yellowtail wil hit them. Just have to try them out. They swim different than iron, so you have to experiment with speed and such. Chuam uses them also. Check with him.
