It's been a while since fished miision bay and found seaforth is no longer selling ghost shrimp. I need to find a new supplier since have a boat now to fish the bays with. Has everyone quit carrying these in san diego? I really don't have a lot of time to go to dog beach to get them. Thanks for any help here!
don't know if it's true but I think i heard something about them being illegal catch for commercial use. IE a company catching them to sell the tackle/bait stores. The last I heard was you had to dig em yoself. I'm sure a knowitall will correct me if im wrong
Thanks,I bet you're right! Was wondering why baitshops wouldn't say anything. I've had boat out 3 times last month and didn't catch a thing on mission bay. What other bait that works there well?
Anyone else know where to buy ghost shrimp? I've been to Squidco and they sell it but have been out the last 2 weeks. I purchased a slurp gun got havn't been able to find them. Went at wrong tide I guess.

Low tide in the mission bay/ob channel. Look for areas of very litle puddles, a pump fairly quickly several times....THey are there, just keep trying.
Sometimes you got to pump the same hole 3 or 4 times to get down where the shrimp are. Dog beach is where I pump and usually get my limit fairly quick. Hint dont be afraid to get a little wet, less people more shrimp.
