| which Pliers does everyone use???
I just seen these on a site: anyone have them?? good, bad, ugly?? BIG PESCADORE PLIERS by ROSS REELS $129.00 DESCRIPTION:
The Pescador 6 fishing pliers are the ultimate fishing tool for saltwater, freshwater and warmwater anglers. The pliers are made from aircraft-grade, 6061G-T6511 proprietary aluminum stock. While most aluminum pliers are made from standard 6061-T6 stock, we have chosen to use this proprietary blend which provides greater strength and rigidity; while still providing a beautifully machined finish and vibrant color application. These incredible pliers fit comfortably in-hand, cut virtually all sizes of fishing specific monofilament, wires and braided lines and have ample jaw strength to safely remove hooks, tighten knots, crimp sleeves and connect wires. In addition, we have incorporated a medium grit diamond coated sharpening stone into the pliers' jaw for convenient hook sharpening. While most competitive pliers require the purchase of a sheath and lanyard separately, the Ross Worldwide Pescador 6 pliers are shipped complete with a high quality, custom designed cordura sheath and self-coiling safety lanyard, all for one incredible low price. - Manufactured out of 6061G - T6511 aircraft quality aluminum, which has the perfect blend of rigidity, machinability and vibrant color reproduction
- 440C heat treated stainless steel grip-tight jaws and cutters
- Medium grit diamond coated sharpening stone inlayed into the pliers' jaws for convenient use
- Replaceable jaws, cutters and sharpening stone
- Spring-loaded, ergonomic handles
- Anodized for the perfect balance of hardness and color
- Designed, inspected and serviced in Montrose, Colorado USA

I second the Shimano 15 dollar pair. I am on my second pair now in four years time. At five bucks per year I am cool with that.
BTW those ross pliers look like the accurate ones.

Manley mono nippers can't be beat for cutting a gill or cutting line, and duckbill pliers are great hook removers. I carry both.

Accurate pirhana pliers. I love mine and wouldn't buy anything else except maybe the van staal titaniums. They are pricey but are worth it if you have the money. Buy a lanyard and you're in good shape.

I bought a pair of X-Tools for a spontaneous trip - and now they are my favorite. They float, too!

I got 4 old, rusty, WD-40'd pairs of shitty needlenose pliers that work fine, If I lose them over the side, who cares. The last thing I need is another fucking expensive "toy" to wax and care for when all I want to do is fucking fish.
Funny, I have used these types of pliers for 30 years and THEY always worked fine......Never knew I needed Ti pliers ? Jeez......whats next ? Next thing ya know, they will figure out a way to keep live bait on a boat ! (Hahahaaa)

I buy the shitty $3 angle cutting pliers, regular needlenose and the foot-long needlenose you get at the swap meet or Harbor Freight. Totally disposable, but the keep for a long time because I keep them in these: http://www.holdzit.com/products2.html
I even keep my bigger crimpers in one. They never rust. These things are seriously the shit no matter what you use for pliers, cheap or expensive. I also use small electronics flush-cutting pliers for cutting mono when putting on crimps, so it doesn't flare out.
