60 Mile Bank

Can we fish the 60 mile bank for cod? I thought it was closed because of the cow cod zone or some shit? I need to take Cuda out for somemore Boccacio:

I called the DFG in Los Alamitos about that a couple of months ago and was told it was OK. But what do they know, there was confusion amongst themselves when I posed the question.It would make for a nice stop on the way home when the tunas arent cooperating.

I think it's part of some National Preserve or something.

That's why we never bottom fish there

The 43 is closed & Tanner Banks- Santa Babara Island!!! 60 mile banks appear to be fine... If you don't trust me cause sometimes I screw up, you can find it on The DFG link, look under COWCOD conservation areas...

60 mile is outside the area, so anything shallower than 60 fathoms (the current general rockfish depth restriction) should be fair game. Looks like there are two high spots up to 53 and 56 fathoms.
