Your theories are legit! However, all theories work when they are biting. Go when you hear they are biting!

Re: WSB timing & moon

I totaly agree with sealskinner, You should just go if you wait untill they start to bite it will be over before you leave the dock. To make the best guess a few days before to a few days after the full moon seems to bite the best! although some of the best bites i have seen have been on the new moon. You chances will be greater if you can get on a private boat or a small charter. This will piss some people off but The little boats just seem to get bit better due to the lack of noise from generators. but when they want to bite it makes no difference what boat you on. Just my two sence but what do i know.

Re: WSB timing & moon

Thanks for the replies guys.
I will probably go on the 8th and hope they bite.
One of the best yellowtail bites I've ever been into happened in April at SCI so I'm not putting all my faith in the seabass anyway.

I will be on a big boat that I enjoy fishing on........
