Re: spectra

I prefer Jerry Brown, next Izorline. If you want to know about hollow spectra, type it in the search engine. There's been lots of threads going into great detail about all the bonus and drawbacks.

Re: spectra

For that class of reel, You will not need the JB Hollow.
65# solid is all you'll need. Use long/short TS to your liking.
NOAH'S tackle has good selection and knowledge.

Re: spectra

I'd use solid, just don't use the coated stuff with a short topshot. The coating will come off with use but why deal with it until then.

Kevan at Noah's and I already worked out how much JB to put on with enough room for a decent topshot.

The spectra that a lot of people prefer and call the best is Jerry Brown "Line One" http://www.jerry-brown-industries.com/
The reason is it is very limp, soft, and not coated like the other brands. It's up to you on using a solid spectra and tying knots for your connections or hollow for a topshot served inside with a smooth connection.

It's okay (IE it works...), but it's coated and ugly when you pull it off and put it on as the coating gets all over everything, including my BD shirt.

Try the JB solid as it's the best IMHO.
