| Time for a 2nd Annual BD Casting Contest?
BBQ/Contest with two categories this time:
1. John Holmes Long rod (iron)
2. 220 Clothespin (bait) Round reels only, none of that BassMasters B.S.
No coffee grinders.
Avet vs. Newell?
I'll bring my Jigmaster for the Long Rod contest.
Anyone up for one of these a couple of weekends after the Superbowl?
(I'm thinking on the lagoon in North County so the OC & L.A. County flingers can make it down.)

Avet VS Newell? Only way the AVET wins is if the Newell guy is a FARMER!
Newell 220? Load it up to about 3/4 full with LOOSE JB 200LB. That'll make it LIGHT! Put on a topshot of 12lb IZOR. Fling away. Make sure the reel is ready for the fight. Light (Snake Oil is great) oil in the bearings. Make sure the rest of the reel is dry. No, or little grease on the main and pinion, you don't wan't the spool axle to be slowed by any sort of contact with the pinion.
