Diesel Fuel Survey (in the water only)

I filled up the boat with fuel on Saturday at the fuel dock (Seaforth Landing) in Mission Bay. The price was $3.65 a gallon. I think this was ridiculously high. The price was posted in very large letters by the cash register so it doesn't look like discounts for angling clubs, vessel assist or quantity are being offered.

What have you paid recently and at what dock and harbor? One of the guys in Alamitos paid $2.10 a gallon recently.

Thanks

Bill

Re: Diesel Fuel Survey (in the water only)

Was it Islandia or Dana landing launch ramp?

Dana is usually ridiculously expensive, but gives 5 cents off per gallon for over 100 gallons. When I had my boat slipped there over the summer, I would go over to Islandia since they were usually 30 cents + cheaper a gallon. Still a rip off though.

I went to the fuel dock at Islandia. It's hard to believe Dana is more expensive.

Thanks for the feedback.

Bill

Diesel has been less at Dana Landing all summer. Par is referring to gas. Gas has been less at Islandia most of the summer.

When I overheard the comment by the guys at Islandia that they can charge whatever they want and us guys have to pay, I started going to Dana exclusively.

In Mission Bay we are getting ripped no matter how you look at it.

I will be running back to sd bay to fill up.......if for nothing else, then for the principle of it all..........if I run slow enough I get almost 2 mpg's......drop a couple of rapalas and pop a few cold ones and make a day of it. and I will fill up here in sd before moving to mb this week

Yup. You are correct. It was gas that was less expensive.

Re: Diesel Fuel Survey (in the water only)

Screw Islandia. I don't care for their attitude or their prices.

At least at Dana Landing someone will come out to the boat to see if you need a hand tying up or for fueling.

Last time there I took on 69 gals and received a small discount. They have earned my business in Mission Bay. In San Diego bay Harbror Island Fuel Dock is a great place.

No matter where you get fuel it's still a rip off!

Just for comparison, RedDye at the local (Corona) commercial fuel station was $2.23 on Tuesday.
