Re: Seasickness Bracelets?????

I know Kevan @ Noah's had one on their overnight trip, which seemed to help Sarah a lot.

Give him a call at the shop today, I'm sure he can get it for you.

Re: Seasickness Bracelets?????

What I have is called a "relief band". You wear it like a watch...it sends an electrical pulse into the mediun nerve which is the nerve that sends the signal to the brain and makes you feel seasick. This works before, and after you get seasick. I have seen it stop people from feeling sick within a few minutes. I mean people that were very, very sick. From sick and miserable to fishing and having fun within a few minutes. It really works, but it is on the expensive side compared to other remedies. They retail for app. $99.99 for a reusable one, and I think $130.00 something for one that you can change the batteries on and use forever. It is pretty amazing how well it works.

Re: Seasickness Bracelets?????

Agree with the post above. I had a roomie on an eight day trip on the Q105 who was sicker than a dog. I offered him one of my relief bands (I have a couple for family use) and it "cured" him immediately! Saved his trip and he went out and bought one as soon as we got back.

Now that said, it didn't really work for my wife who gets seasick at the kelp beds on a calm day in the middle of July.

The only time I ever used it is after too much scotch and beer on the way out and feeling very ill the next day (ask Srfdoc Stan -- I puked on his boots!) The band took away the queezy-ness, but didn't help the hangover!

No, still yet to ever get truly sick on a boat. Have a friend who is going on a trip and wants to look into them. The car can hit a pothole and he'd puke... .
