How to shut down the biggest local bite of the year

Call in the BoilerMaker! .....Man, this guy has a black cloud following him around. He single handedly managed to scare away the hoards of tuna on the 371 yesterday merely by showing-up on the bank . Then he looses a grand's worth of rods and reels, busts-up his T-top and then has to endure a less-than-desirable ride in to the bay (which was probably rough as hell, too). Jerry, I think you need an exorcist, a tribal guru or maybe Ghandi. The guy who fixed yer boat's bottom didn't write anything bad underneath there to piss off the fish gods, did he?

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Here is his story.....

WOW !! What a difference a day makes. The weather was up and the fishing was down. The swell was really confused and large. We managed to pull 6 firecracker Yellowtail from a paddy NE of the high spot. The seventh was when things got real interesting.

We were fighting these Yellowtail. I was passing my favorite rod (Cal-Star 700 ML custom wrapped by the midnightrambler) to my son when all the sudden a Yellowtail pulls it out of our hands on the exchange. MY rod goes over the side Without thinking I jump in after it. Somehow I grab it but I still had my rain gear on with rubber boots. I find myself unable to stay a float and the Yellowtail was pulling me under. IN a panic I let go of the rod. Luckily John was
able to get me back to the boat. The reason I share this embarrassing incident is to let other people know what not to do. Luckily the only thing lost is 2 rods and reels. And "no" I didn't drink any beer at all today. (I was just too bummed out). Oh yeah in the commotion somehow one of my trollers made it way over the side also .

Definitely one of my worse days on the water.

Jerry on the Boiler Maker

Man you gotta feel bad the guy.

Ride on sun was like the fishing!

When did you get in? we arrived at the ramp by noon,, had fun watching the whales and also got several of the worm toting Yellowtail's

I saw several on each Yellowtail, so didn;t keep any, went all the way to the 390 for nada, but did watch a sportie shut down a Yellowtail bite, ran accross the "hotel" in the middle of 20-30 sport boats!

Noreen also was SICK,, never take a woman ?? she was also upset at the sight of the worms, so she didn't even want to catch and release... bummer..

Well glad you had a good saturday anyway.
