Mono shelf life
How long would you trust unused name brand mono before disgarding? would you take reels spooled with new mono a year ago and not used on a multi day trip?

Mono is good, IMO, as long as it's been stored out of sunlght and no other adverse conditions.....

If I were spending the money on a multi-day trip, I'd spend a few extra buck to get new line, but that's just me. It depends on how it was stored. If it were exposed to sunlight or temp extremes, trash it.
