| Movie: Tiger shark 1932 directed by howard hawks
So last night when I thought the padres were thru for the day I turned to one of the old movie channels and discovered the movie "Tiger Shark"
I want to say Edward G Robbinson in a movie about tuna fishing in mexican waters out of San diego. Did a buriel at sea with the Coronado Islands in the background. Showed them unloading tuna at Van Camps with old 4 stackers in the backgound((4 stacker is a WWI destroyer). Also showed fish being processed in cannery. Fishing hot spot was Mag bay. Guys kept getting bit by sharks. Did not see whole movie but reviews say that they show guys at rail pulling tuna in.
It was a love story, Skipper marries the daughter of a crewman killed by sharks but she is in love with first mate. I found the background much more interesting, all the old pictures of SD bay and the mexican coast.
Has any one ever seen this movie? I turned back to discover a rally in progress and the padres won. Kinda think I'd like to add it to my collection.
