I had Wes from Ken's Custom R&R hot-rod my drags at the FH show.
They do the work while you wait..... Brand new custom drag plate and washers....
You know how much drag I have now??????
It's a whopping 32lbs.... I could not believe, so I tested it three separate times. All 3 tests where on warm drags....
Dang.... I'm afraid I may break something on the reel with that much pressure... $$$ well spent...
Hey Paul, I had Wes upgrade my drags on a Trini 16. had him freespool it too, what a difference!!! I went back at 8pm on Sat, after I read your post. Frank

Wes does some awesome stuff with these reels...
Can't wait to smack the Yellows this coming week-end at Colonet.
Wes doesn't know how to do much but check baseball scores on his computer, but he says thanks for the post. yeah it costs $30, but they put it back together right, or take your chances on your own. Fishstalker had another "reel repairman" do his reels and they were put together wrong. This is why Ken doesn't sell his drags as kits, if there are people who swear up and down they can do their Penn draggs and still don't now the difference between earred and keyed then they probably won't figure out why the little click dissapeared on their star and they'll blame the drags.
P.S. If you still wonder why the click is gone it was that little thing that flew past you and is now on ther floor.
