Spectra to Mono

I am probably one of the last people to try it, but I am going to load Spectra on one of my reels for this Rockcod season and was wondering how to connect. Any help would be appreciated.

i think the uni to uni is only good up to 40lbs though right?Not too sure how heavy the line your fishing with.I use the same knot too. It does work pretty well. No problems yet here. big ups

I fish straight Spectra on my cod reels. I put several feet of double at the end with an Aussie braid and tie the swivel on with a San Diego knot. I put a few extra turns on the knot. Clip the mono ganion to the swivel & send 'er down!

You'll want to use ganions a class or two lighter than your Spectra so you just lose the ganion when ya hang the bottom.
