Not at all you know me better then that frank I am far from a thief and a dick to keep peoples shit I dont know how i can steal shit i was giving away anyways lol I have made it clear and thats where it ends. Im sorry for those that invested and lost their money shit you dont hear me bitching i lost money too. I cant stand the complaining understand 2 of the 3 events were well organized far in advance the Private boater one was done up in 2 weeks time it was spur of the moment so how it happened for the most part was expected, i didnt see anyone else stepping up to do this locally so i took it upon myself to do so, Karl said he had done it in the past so i told him to join in with me that was my mistake, i thought he was better then he showed unlike him though im not close to anyone that showed up other then Keith and even he who has my boat and all my gear hasnt heard from me i just havent had time with all the other far more important shit i have to deal with. Bottom line is that its a shame that people would think that I would do that, Rick i thought it was kinda bullshit that you posted up what you sent me thats what started this whole shit, mainly because i told you the situation instead you could have just told me privately you were coming i would have said yes and you could have played hero and had everyone meet you or pick up the shit, not try and make me look like an asshole. As far as I am concerned this case is closed I have said what i needed to say your guys shit is all here in the wrappers untouched unpawned waiting to be picked up the list is on the front of this thread I will print it out and give it to who ever picks up the stuff and they can check it off and you guys deal with it.

Again everyone bailed out at the event the only prizes i had to worry about was Ricks trip because everyone hadnt put in for it yet i wanted to give everyone the opportunity to win that prize other then that the other prizes were already assigned during the trip when no one was answering their radio calls. NOT MY FAULT either. Carl and Maggie heard me trying to tell everyone what they won and call you guys out every 30 mins with a new prize winner. I did what i could. All im saying its not a dick swinging contest of who did what and how much more again next time you guys step it up and do one of these on your own and see how easy it is.

Hey Jesse,
Sorry to hear you have all the issues with your kids being sick and medical stuff going on too.
For those who do not know, Jesse did attempt all throughout the day to call out winners on the radio. For some reason, we never did get a response from anyone on the radio even though we could hear others on the radio. He had the prizes with him and when we got back to the dock, most of the people had bailed. He does not live here locally. Yes, it seems he took some time to get these prizes off to the winners and that caused some concern for some. I am sorry that was how it turned out.
I saw first-hand that Jesse was trying to pull this event off even without the funds in hand. Thanks to the help/donations from others at the BBQ, this event happened for our military. The day was a success in my opinion. To say it was poorly organized is easy to say when you are not the one who went through what he did to make the event happen. It's always easier to be the one to make a statement like that. I had never met Jesse prior to this event and yes, I wondered what he would be like in person after seeing his many posts on BD. I do have to say his heart is in the right place and he was just trying to make the day a success for our military. From what I saw, our military had a great time!
We learn from each event as to what works and what doesn't work but give the guy some credit! He did donate a bunch of stuff on his own. I never questioned his integrity or if he would take off with or steal the prizes. Most of you wouldn't know that if you hadn't met him to see what he has accomplished. That is why I felt I had to speak up and say something because that is the right thing to do.
Sometimes we have to step in and help others on this board. Jesse was trying to help our military guys/gals. Now we need to be there for Jesse. Not only as one of our military guys who has fought for our country, but also as one of our own here on BD who has been going through a very tough time personally. He doesn't need to spill his personal info out on this site but let's give the guy some help, pick up the prizes, get them distributed and move on.
Thanks to those who want to step up and make these type of events continue to happen going forward. It's not an easy job to coordinate any event. I would be happy to help those who wish to coordinate future events for our Wounded Warriors.
Thanks for letting me rant.

Alright.....let's move forward. If I handled this inappropriately, I apologize to Jesse and anyone else I offended. I will arrange to get all the stuff next Friday.
I would like to try to put together something like this on monthly basis. Perhaps, the first Sat. of each month. I would love to work with the others on here to make sure a lot of warriors get to fish. What I would like to propose, is that a bank account with over site, be set up to take cash donations. I am working on some possibilities for that either through the base or SDCCU. Also, I would like to get a sponsor (ie. sporting goods store) to accept and distribute prizes that are donated. I think minimal organization might be better -- we take a boat count a week before the trip and then let Jeff (or another volunteer) know how many Marines we can take. We will establish a prudent reserve for the donations account and distribute the rest after each trip. Perhaps a WW committee would be most effective. Please let me know what everyone thinks.

Thank you Maggie for those words, I dont do it for a thank you or for karma points shit lord knows i can use them now though, I want everyone to know that i am not pissed at anyone here if anything i am thankful that you all volunteered your time and efforts as well as cash and other kind donations, it was a struggle i asked many people to help and get involved everyone said i wouldnt be able to pull it off and we did it together, again I never say sorry but i am sorry for the amount of time it has taken to get the shit out to you guys i wish my situation was much better keith will be the first one to tell you i havent seen my boat since that trip i have been unable to get much done and i would love to have that change but i cant make miracles happen. As for the Bank account deal that was already agreed upon with the MODS here on BD after the last situation Ali and a couple of decided it would be best to go through BD's paypal account and make the money just end up there. The main reason these trips were put together was because it was my hope that i could raise money for the children of fallen troops, i wanted to see how many people would participate and see how hard this would be to turn it into a True Tournament If i could get a panel of hard working people that are ready and willing to make this happen then shit this could be big but its alot of work let me be the first to say i never knew how much shit goes into these things and to get the sponsors to help out is not easy at all ask Mike with the Thanksgiving tourney ask Ali with the Shootouts its not easy at all especially alone. Again the stuff is here guys I will get it to someone to distribute it as soon as that is established i will make sure everyone is aware there was a pick up and the stuff is on the way. Again sorry for the Delay. I hope this doesnt tarnish our relationship and puts a dent on future events that i conduct for this worthy cause.

When it's all said and done I applaud Jesse also for stepping up to make this happen.
I won some prizes and really didn't expect to. My prize was the 24 cigarette smoking kid on the front of my boat grinning ear to ear. We didn't catch much but we sure tried. The time spent with my son and his exposure to true young men not kids was priceless. I can say I was puzzled by the time and lack of response from Jesse but never did I consider that he was less than honest. As the father and husband of a diabetic family all I can say is do what you have to do and keep on it.
In the end maybe the prize stuff should just be for the marines. Give it out when they get on the boat and it's done. I didn't see it as a contest and really didn't expect anything. The money thing was disturbing and if it's purpose is to get licenses for the Marines well set it up with a store seems right. My marine tried to give me gas money at the end and I pretty much had to put him in his truck and send him on his way to get him to stop offering. God bless those young men and women for what they do. God bless Jesse too as I know what he's going through with the work and health thing.

Who would have ever thought that giving money to a guy named Ass Monkey was a bad idea?

I have read all the posts on this thread and I believe it was just a matter of a few circumstances that happened at a bad time. Yes some people thought the worst, yet others were confident that Jesse was a creditable guy. At the end it all worked out. I would like to thank Jesse for doing the best he could after the cash problem. I think we will all learn from this and will result in less problems in the future.
My 2 cents
Rich

Jesse, thanks for finally responding, that's all anyone was asking for. As I've said before, this is your gig and you have been able to pull off 3 trips that the Vets really appreciated. Your ability to get people to donate boats, fuel, tackle and such is key to making these events happen. There are more details to throwing a successful event however and several of us here are offering to handle those tasks. Take care of your health and family and then for the next trip, let others help with the details so you don't over extend yourself.
