I look at them all the time, but have never heard of anyone using them. The video looks cool though. I'll probably get sucker in one of these days.

Other than striped marlin the only thing out here that would eat them would be a shark. The problem is it would be an expensive hook up as it would get shredded by a mako.
I've heard they do work well on marlin though.

I fished a williamson mack at cedros last year from a panga. Worked good..then again its cedros.. a chuck taylor would work good

Todd, if bait is tough where you are going soon(East Cape I assume)take them. I use stuff like that at Mag Bay when I run out of bait,works fine for stripers and dorado.I used one like that in front of the dolphin last year and killed the Yellow Fin Tuna on it.
A good back up for when you run out of bait,I always have a few around in different sizes.

I used them in panama, trollig along with rapalas and mauraders, they didnt work to well.
