Fish Williamson Speed Jigs?

While at West Marine to buy some other stuff for my boat, I purchased a pack of Williamson "Speed Jigs". These are Williamson's version of the Butterfly type lures.

Any tips on how to fish these? I do not even know where to tie my main line to, as there are at least two places you could do this on each lure. The hooks are currently attached to the end of the lure that resembles a fish's head. Should I tie my line to this end, or the opposite end? And should I tie to the actual lure, or the split ring that the hooks are attached to?

I will be on the Q105 kayak tyrip with my son that leaves for SCI on 5/8. I thought I would give them a try at SCI.

Thanks,

Pescador Paul

Thanks for the response. The lures I bought include the purple one in the above photo. Note how the hook is attached via a split ring. Should I tie my line to this ring, or to the the lure's eye that the spilt ring is attached to? Or should I tie onto another one of the lure's eyes? If so, which one, the one along the lure's back or the eye on its ass end?

If you look at the picture of the green jig in Jesse's post, a split ring is attached to the jig. A solid ring is attached to the split ring. And the hooks are attached to the solid ring. That is the correct way to rig the jig. You tie your line to the solid ring, with the hooks. That way when you hook a fish your line and the fish are both connected to the solid ring and it's a straight pull with the jig just hanging off to the side. More or less.
