Aluminum boat motor question

I have a Honda 9.9 hp long shaft motor for a kicker motor on my 26' fishing boat. Question: I want to know if I can take that motor and use it on a 15' Aluminum freshwater boat for lakes without any problems? The shaft is 20".

You can do just about anything with a 20 inch shaft.

I used to do that all the time. Should be no problems. If the transom of the lake boat is only 15", the motor will spray up a little more water. If it's a 20 inch transom, No problems.
