| Killer Whales spotted in the Gulf of Mexico It is unusual to find Killer Whales in the Gulf of Mexico, and unheard of to find over 200 of them there together feeding on yellowfin tuna. What's going on? Killer Whales in the Gulf of Mexico |

| Some of the orca are actually locals, or at least frequent visitors. Last time I made it down to Cabo to charter fish, a particularly friendly whale started following our boat, and every time we stopped he would pull up and beg for food. Wasnt hostile in the least. Kinda like a friendly stray dog. We tossed him a few of our smaller fish and he was on his way, with a wave and a tailslap on the water. Was a very cool experience. |

| South for tuna fishing on vacation. They are smart!!
Bad enough competing with seiners, seals and the elements. I bet you get no chance at landing a hooked fish near one. Cool to see though. Earlier this year they had a albie report with a killer whale eating hooked fish. Anyone want to grab a mask and jump in?

| I wish they would winter in SoCal. We wouldn't have as many dogs hanging around for free meals. |

| Guys, we are talkin Gulf of Mexico off Alabama, Louisiana etc. Not Gulf of California aka Sea of Cortez.
Never knew they had killers in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico, thought they were just in the Pacific.
Learn something new everyday.

Learn something new everyday. | Noted. I was just trying in vain to be funny. Seriously though, those whales need to stay away from all the Coonasses in LA... Louisiana that is. Boudreaux and Thibidoux might try to make some dirty rice an blackened Shamu. |
