Tammy, I just got back from the Destin area. I don't know if you are talking about fishing from shore or on a boat. A good friend of mine lives in Destin and she and her husband fish from Kayaks and use small gold spoons on light line early in the mornings and catch lady fish, small blue runners and spanish mackeral.

I also love fishing out of Key West. It is primarily a charter boat thing but the fishing is wonderful. If you go there, check out www.keylimey.com The captain is Tony Murphy and he is great.

Wow, That's a wide open question, What do you want to catch?
If it's cobia, go to Destin in Feb
Tarpon, MArch- June in Homosassa, Ft. Meyers Feb thru June,
Bottom fish, snappers, snook, jack crevale, sheepshead, sharks anytime
Redfish- anywhere summer months

On shore guide?

You can try calling the Tampa/St. Pete chamber of commerce, most of the Fla. Chambers of commerce have a listing of all guides, you can probably get an on-line listing and e-mail or call the guide directly and get some free advice!!
It's worth a shot anyway!!

Good luck!

Keep us posted!

Find a local tackle shop in the area you want to fish.

Cedar Key

Park near the airport (be careful of the no trespassing signs, but there is legal parking around there), put on some old shoes. Walk out on the oyster beds and look for holes. Throw live shrimp and load up on trout and redfish.

Used to do it all the time when I was in college at Univ of FL.
