My good buddy lets me borrow his boat anytime in turn for storing his boat at my house (I have RV access). He has vessel assist for the boat but I don't know if I have coverage if the boat owner is not present. Thanks and tight lines!

I believe Vessel Assist is for the individual, and not the vessel. So if I'm on someone else's boat and we need to be towed, I can contact Vessel Assist to tow their boat that I'm on.

Hi there-
If the boat owner has a Vessel Assist/BoatU.S. membership, then the boat is covered. So, if you broke down and called in for service, you would be covered.

Heather,
Thanks for the clarification. It's good to have you and Adam on board.

vessel assist claims if you borrow a boat from a friend and you have coverage then the boat is covered due to your membership but the owner can not be present.sea tow will cover the member even if he hops on another boat regardless.
