| where do all these sand bass come from?
Every year sand bass form large spawning aggregations along the coast, but where do these fish come from?
I have asked party boat skippers and my fishing buddies this same question and usually get some of the same answers.
1. They come from deepwater where they hang out during the winter.
2. They come from down south (Mexico) and move up along the coast during the summer to spawn.
3. They come from all of our local reefs.
Where do you think these fish come from?

The sand bass come from Neptune's ass. Hence the name "turd roller".

Actually the sand bass are there year-round. They live scattered about in the mud and in areas of structure down in the flats. They congregate during breeding season. When they are done doing the dirty, they go their seperate ways.

I have caught them in 400' of water while fishing rock cod using a PDQ jig[1 lb] .That was like march of 88'
So they might go deep.

Everytime you flush a turd down the toilet, you create a sand bass.
