Irons in the Dark?

DO yellowtails hit surface irons at night or early in the morning before the sun comes up?

they bite really well all hours. if you're doing it when dark, make sure you use an all white...that was my ticket.

I have never seen yellows eat surface iron in the dark.

when i decked on twilight trips, trust me, yellows inhaled white jigs..tady 45 all white to be specific...also the smaller one...it was the hot ticket,,,barries, calis, and tails loved it. i wouldnt let the regulars on the boat without a couple of em...

I have hooked plenty of yellows and seabass on white heavy jigs with a squid pinned on just off the bottom in the dark but only in areas where live squid is concentrated.

In fact, every seabass in my avatar pic ate a white squid tipped jig, but at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
